A Spring Contest, completed!

19 Entrants! I consider that a great response to the Springy Contest, and thank you everyone for playing! All week long, my screen saver has been flashing pictures of one pretty washcloth after another. I have to say, the first person done was LaurieM, and she was done *the next day*. Impressive. Now, let's see if Blogger will let me post 19 pictures... (why am I concerned about this?) They were all so bright and cheerful, I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I do!

Whoo hoo! Congratulations, Cheryl!

Wow, that's a lot of dishcloths. I love that Garterlac pattern Dave designed. I've made so many of them.

Carrie, that pattern you're craving is from Mason Dixon Knitting.

Congratulations, Cheryl!

The pattern you're looking for is an old slip-stitched dishcloth pattern that came on the ball band of one of the yarns (Sugar and Cream? I'm not sure.) Anyway, it was republished in Mason Dixon knitting, and is also available online here.

Great! I'm sorry I missed it. The week got away from me but all of the entries were wonderful.

Fun contest!! I loved to see everyone's dishcloths. That slipped-stitch ballband pattern (made popular once again in the Mason-Dixon knitting book) is on the back of the Peaches n Creme cotton yarn ballband. Be careful --they're addictive!

gngThe slip stitch cloth was born before it made it to the mason dixon knitting book. It's very easy. I'll send it to you in email. =)
Those are all some neat discloths!

Well, clearly I should have been keeping up with your blog b/c I had NO idea about your contest, yet during that time I was knitting up my own 4 dishcloths! Alas, I will add you to my Google reader, and hopefully I will be able to jump in next time...must have been something in the air recently that had us all knitting dishcloths!
