But it's one of those that's easy enough to catch up on if you miss a couple.

I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to films and more often than not Mr CB and me don't like the same programmes. So I get to watch Heroes all on my lonesome, no disturbances or interruptions. Ah, bliss!

Thanks for dropping by.. xCraftyberniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12794569742594543642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37172157.post-87029832859063938492007-09-29T16:09:00.000-05:002007-09-29T16:09:00.000-05:00I love your idea for using up those bits of leftov...I love your idea for using up those bits of leftover kitchen cotton.

I always made my kids' costumes but not from commercial patterns. I'd get an idea and make it work with pieces of odd ball clothing, make-up, and the occasional sewn or improvised accessory. My favourtie was the year my (barely walking) oldest went as the devil. I hand-sewed pointy white horns to an existing red hoodie, and a pointy tail to a pair of pants. Add a little red face paint and a pointy beard, mustache and eyebrows and she looked fantastic.Marlenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08670952038534759102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37172157.post-11138335971047251172007-09-29T07:19:00.000-05:002007-09-29T07:19:00.000-05:00I like the washcloth! My daughter wore the Bell winter costume I made her to Disneyland and the beast danced with her! LOL Fun memories.

Now it's almost time to dig it out for the granddaughter. Not sure where the time went.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37172157.post-36362521938604147052007-09-28T17:48:00.000-05:002007-09-28T17:48:00.000-05:00I love your idea of using up the extra dishcloth y...I love your idea of using up the extra dishcloth yarn! Very cool.

I'm a novice sewing crafter, so I haven't attempted a costume yet. I'll be interested in seeing what you come up with though!Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18226954231516266581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37172157.post-12381246609613126032007-09-27T19:52:00.000-05:002007-09-27T19:52:00.000-05:00I've always been envious of those who can make the...I've always been envious of those who can make the great Halloween costumes. The one and only time I ever attempted to make a costume for my daughter, I totally screwed it up. I was making a very easy clown costume and decided that I wanted to reinforce the leg seams. I ran a few seams on each leg the held it up to look at - I had sewn the legs together; and then reinforced them!

I think the scrap dishcloth looks pretty cool.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37172157.post-86656208286401476072007-09-27T18:05:00.000-05:002007-09-27T18:05:00.000-05:00I'm so jealous that you can sew your kids' costume...I'm so jealous that you can sew your kids' costumes. Through the magic of knitting.

Does your arm feel better? Talk to a doctor? Get advice that you're going to completely ignore? I hear you on the pain thing!

Laurie's shawl is gorgeous.Carrie Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15585975894624687972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37172157.post-34552586304822732002007-09-27T06:32:00.000-05:002007-09-27T06:32:00.000-05:00I love your yarn.
